Industry-engages Research
At BU, practice-oriented and industry-engaged research forms an integral part of our academic mission. Through commissioned research projects, we address real-world challenges within our three core research clusters.
Wherever possible, we actively involve early-career researchers and academic staff in these projects under the supervision of professors. In doing so, we combine knowledge transfer and academic education with the aim of fostering a deeper understanding of systematic, research-based inquiry into complex, real-world questions across our research areas.

Companies can collaborate with BU through individually tailored research and innovation packages. Depending on their specific needs, projects may combine workshops, lab studies, and consulting services to address practical challenges and develop evidence-based solutions within our research areas.
